AM 580 GENERAL CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL PROMOTIONS RULES

*These rules are to be used for general radio call-in promotion and will apply unless promotion-specific rules are otherwise posted.

1. How to Enter: No purchase necessary to enter or win.  A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.  The promotion runs at such time as is indicated on-air by the program host on AM580 CKWW Radio(the “Station”).  The caller who places the call received in the position indicated by the program host (for example, the 8th caller) and who correctly answers the mathematical skill testing question posed by the Station representative will be eligible to win the prize, subject to these Official Rules. In the event the entrant is outside of the local calling area, standard long distance rates as charged by the entrant’s long distance service provider will apply.  All calls placed by any means other than an individual using a telephone, including, without limitation, calls generated by automated or electronic dialers, will be disqualified.
   
2. PRIZE:  Each prize and its value will be as described on-air by the program host.  Prize must be picked up at the Station by the date indicated by the Station representative. All applicable federal, state and local taxes, as well as any expenses not specified in these Official Rules, are the sole responsibility of the winner(s).  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the stated prize or portions thereof with another prize or portions thereof of equal or greater value for any reason, including, without limitation, if the stated prize(s) or portion thereof become unavailable.  For trip prizes, if any: In the event the prize includes a trip, prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described by the program host including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals, beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. Flight dates and hotel accommodation are subject to change without notice or compensation. Trip prize winner and any travelling companion(s) are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from point of departure as the prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the trip prize winner and any travelling companion(s) to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas as applicable and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements. Trip prize winner and any travelling companion(s) must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Promotion Sponsor(s) in its/their sole discretion failing which the prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that trip prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure, which is not included in the prize.  Some restrictions and blackout periods may apply. By entering this Promotion and accepting the trip prize, each trip prize winner agrees to maintain his/her behavior in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices in connection with participation in any Promotion activity, including use of the trip prize.  Trip prize winner understands and agrees that Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove the prize winner or his/her guest from any activity at any time if the prize winner or his/her guest’s behavior at any point is disruptive or may or does cause damage to person, property or the reputation of Sponsor or otherwise violates the policies of the prize providers.  EACH TRIP PRIZE WINNER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE/SHE IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACTIONS, CLAIMS OR LIABILITIES OF HIS/HER GUEST (IF ANY) RELATED TO ANY PROMOTION ACTIVITY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY ACTIONS, CLAIMS OR LIABILITIES RELATED TO THE GUEST’S USE OF A TRIP PRIZE. 

 

1. Odds: Chances of winning depend on the number and timing of calls at the designated time and the number of eligible calls received.
   
2. Eligibility: To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be: (i) a legal resident of Ohio or Michigan in the United States or a legal resident of the province in Canada in which the Station is located; and (ii) be over the age of majority in his or her state, province or territory of residence.  Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of Bell Media Inc. or any Sponsor (as defined below), its agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter.  Entrants who are under the age of majority at the date of entry are eligible to enter the Promotion and win a prize provided that the parent or legal guardian of the entrant accepts any such prize and agrees to these Official Rules for and on behalf of such entrant. Winners of a prize in a Bell Media Inc. promotion within the three (3) months (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) prior are not eligible to enter.
   
3. Winner will be notified via telephone at the time they make the winning call that they may have won a prize in the Promotion.  In order to receive the prize, winner and, where applicable, his/her guest(s) (or their parent/legal guardian if a minor) will be required to sign and return within the timeframe specified by Sponsor a Standard Prize Winner Release form confirming compliance with these  Official Rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded and releasing the Promotion Sponsor(s) from all liability relating to the promotion or prize.  All prize claims and winner documents are subject to verification by Sponsor.  If any prize notification or Promotion-related communication is rejected, faulty or returned as undeliverable or if a winner cannot be reached after a reasonable attempt has been made by Sponsor (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), that winner may be disqualified.  No substitution for or transfer of the prize will be allowed.  The prize is not redeemable for cash.
   
4. All decisions of the Station are final.  This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited.
   
5. Prize claimants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, likeness, biographical information, voice, comments and/or photograph, without further compensation, notice, review or approval, in any future publicity carried out by the Station in connection with this Promotion.
   
6. If for any reason, in the opinion of the  Sponsor(s), in its/their sole discretion, the Promotion is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Promotion is corrupted or adversely affected, including, without limitation, by reason of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, mechanical manipulation or any other causes beyond its/their control,  Sponsor(s) reserve(s) its/their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Promotion, including, without limitation, cancelling any method of entry and selecting a winner from previously received eligible entries.  Participants agree to not damage or cause interruption of the Promotion and/or prevent others from using the Promotion.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void entries of any entrants who Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Promotion. 

1. Sponsor is not responsible and/or liable for any of the following, whether caused by Sponsor, the entrant, or by human error: any lost, late, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, misdirected or postage-due entries or mail; technical or mechanical malfunctions; or errors, typos or misprints in these Official Rules, in any Promotion-related advertisements or other materials.  EACH PARTICIPANT AGREES TO RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY SPONSOR, AND ITS PARENT, DIVISIONS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING, PROMOTION, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCIES, AND THE RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS OF EACH FOR ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE, ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE OR AWARDING OF THE PRIZE OR WHILE PREPARING FOR, PARTICIPATING IN AND/OR TRAVELING TO OR FROM ANY PRIZE- OR PROMOTION-RELATED ACTIVITY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY INJURY, DAMAGE, DEATH, LOSS, OR ACCIDENT TO PERSON OR PROPERTY.  WINNER AGREES THAT THE PRIZE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, WHETHER NOW KNOWN OR HEREINAFTER ENACTED, RELATIVE TO THE USE OR ENJOYMENT OF THE PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
   
2. FOR PROMOTIONS OPEN TO QUEBEC RESIDENTS ADD:  Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity promotion may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
   
3.         By entering this Promotion, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Sponsor(s) for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this Promotion.  Sponsor(s) will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this Promotion.  Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the  Sponsor(s) should be addressed to the Station.

 

1. Sponsor: Bell Media Inc.  Any other specific sponsor of the Promotion will be indicated on-air by the program host at the Station.

1. Official Rules and Winner’s List Requests:  For a list of winners or a copy of the Official Rules, send request specifying the date of and Station holding the Promotion with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to AM580 CKWW.  Requests for winner's lists must be received no later than six (6) months following the close of the Promotion.  Requests for Official Rules must be received no later than one (1) week after the close of the Promotion.
